There will be people over from USA with Togher connections also someone from Canada, Dublin and various different parts of the country, they would love to meet more Togher's especially from the Erris area.

A Togher reunion will be held on October 2nd 2016 at Turas Siar there will be light refreshments served on the day there will be singing, music and story telling also a slide show on the ancestry of the Toghers where they came from etc.

A WOOD TURNING CHAPTER (CLUB)


A wood turning chapter is to be set up in Erris and will become the 21st chapter in the whole country. There are already over 800 members in this association. This seminar and wood turning demonstration will take place at the premises of Turas Siar Cartron Clogher on Tuesday February 3rd 2015 at 7.30p.m. Willie Creighton president of the wood turners association will be in charge of the seminar and demonstration he will also have all kinds of literature and information as well as advice on how to set up and plan further seminars and a possible permanent location for the chapter. Men and women of all ages are welcome to participate. Wood turning is fast becoming one of the most popular past times and hobbies in the country.
